The principal monastery of the present complex dates back to 1692. Though severely damaged by fire in 1998, Taktsang has since been fully restored to its former glory.
After exploring the monastery, descend to the Viewpoint Cafeteria for lunch before continuing your walk back to the base.
Later, visit a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse, upon arrival you will be welcomed with traditional Bhutanese tea and snacks, providing a warm introduction to Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage.
